Inspired by a true story
we are a growing nation with the audacity to change the world

Zone Nation evolved from a family business rooted in care, so we understand the highs and lows that come with supporting the most vulnerable.

Our story...

Zone Nation's origins are with one family's determination to build a care business unlike any other. Zone Nation is growing as a determined community of like-minded people to improve the lives of people in their communities.

Where it all started

Motivated by their search for a care home for Laura, their daughter (Hugo’s sister), Paul, Ann and Hugo de Savary created Home From Home Care (HFHC) to be a care provider unlike any other.  They were inspired to create a care environment which would support adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex physical and mental health to live their lives to the fullest.

The goal - to do it better!

Zone's digital platform begins to take shape

Building a business like HFHC required a complete reimagining of how care was delivered and staff supported. Rather than buy third-party technology solutions and be constrained by their limitations, HFHC worked with its front-line staff to build software in-house, envisaged as a single-entry, fully-integrated and interoperable platform.

The big win -  enhancing outcomes and improving lives through an ongoing process of practical solutions and continuous improvement.

New organisations adopt Zone's platform

Determined to expand Zone's potential, Paul, Ann and Hugo made Zone’s award-winning software available as an entry point to a limited number of organisations beyond HFHC. These early adopters were small, medium and large enterprises, employing 20 people to 2,000 people, and offering 50+ services across the UK, including social care, health, justice, housing and homelessness services.

The aim - to have a single entry, interoperable platform  empowering an infinite number of services creating a data informed model of care.

Home From Home Care continues to grow

By 2020,  9 out of HFHC's 11 services were rated ‘Outstanding' by the CQC. HFHC was also awarded Platinum by Investors in People and  won ‘Best Care Home Group’ at the National Care Awards.

The impact - the whole is greater than the sum of its parts!

Zone Nation launches

With more organisations adopting Zone and expanding the community, our knowledge and experience grows exponentially. As partners join, their services are added and embedded into a growing nation, with new IP automatically shared  at no extra cost. Accumulating and compounding, this dynamic  makes us greater than the sum of our parts. We call this the ‘Democratisation of IP’.

The future - never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed people can change the world. In fact, its the only thing that ever has.

Purpose & Belonging
Giving colleagues a shared mission and a sense of togetherness.

"To me, 'belonging' represents a sense of feeling part of a group of other likeminded people, based on our core principles and beliefs. This involves feeling accepted and respected by others, whilst also feeling that you yourself contribute value and worth in your own way to benefit the collective."

FAQs

Everything you need to know about Zone Nation.
What is Zone Nation?
Our digital offering is a powerful all-in-one  platform for charities and social enterprises to run their entire organisations. But we are also much more than this, what makes us special is that we are driven by our community of users who operate across a range of sectors and share a common mission to provide services that improve their communities and society.
What do I get by joining Zone Nation?
In addition to accessing a powerful all-in-one digital platform, you and your colleagues all belong to Zone Nation. This gives you access to community events, learning and development opportunities, as well as building your professional network. In the near future, we will be opening-up access to our accredited network of suppliers too.
What training is required?
Zone is designed with a user-friendly interface, featuring a balanced structure of context menus that are easily navigated by the end user. We implement a 'train the trainer' approach tailored to specific business functions. Additionally, we provide a suite of guidance wikis and/or videos.
Do you have integrations?
Our current list of integrations is growing and includes: Electronic Staff Record (ESR), Learning From Patient Safety Events (LFPSE), Indeed, Power BI, Right To Work checks, DVLA checks, as well as various FinTech solutions. All our modules are fully interoperable, integrated with a single login and single data entry.
How much does it cost?
We take the time to understand each organisation, what they can afford and their future aspirations, designing a bespoke pricing model for each partner. We are free to price flexibly because we are a family-owned company. In addition, we are working with philanthropic and social impact investors to secure funding for the implementation and license of our software, making it even more accessible.
What support do you provide users?
The Helpdesk is accessible through the Zone portal, typically restricted to key members of your team. Once a request is initiated, we establish a direct communication channel with you to streamline the process and avoid separate email traffic. Requests are categorised into four levels - Low, Medium, High, and Urgent.
How easy is it to switch?
Our team is on hand to help every step of the way. We can upload historic incidents, historic complaints, current staff documents, current risk registers and audits, to ensure a smooth transition. For staff documents [pdfs, word etc] we can offer a data storage area to retain these documents too.
How long does it take to resolve an issue?
Urgent issues are triaged immediately, with a response/resolution within 2 hours. The nature of the issue will determine the promptness of the solution. For non-urgent issues, resolution timelines are determined in partnership with you, considering the relative priority and agreed SLA.
